Happy New Year
Welcome back everyone! I hope you have all had a very exciting Christmas.
There are a few notices I want to make you aware of for this half term.
Our class PE has changed this half term and is now swimming on a Monday and PE on a Thursday.
Please ensure your child has the full and correct PE kit on these days.
Class Dojo is a new and exciting way to keep up to date with what is happening in our classroom. An invite was sent out to each of you to join our online classroom, where you can view photos, videos and information about what is happening in Year 4 and across the school.
If you require another invite, please don’t hesitate to ask.
As I am sure you know, reading is an essential part of your child’s education. This year, the student council are running a reading challenge with the chance to win a small trophy for the class each week.
The minimum time spent reading at home is three times a week. If your child reads every night of the week they become a Year 4 reading champion!
This half term we are making reading even more exciting in Year 4. Every week your child has the chance to be entered into a raffle to win some books of their very own. To be entered, they need to be a reading champion on a Friday. The more times you become a reading champion, the higher the chance of winning a new book. – So get reading!
Outdoor learning will continue as usual on a Thursday. It is important your child has appropriate footwear and a jacket on these days.
